Discovery Channel CEO's Huntsville Ties

There is a local connection to the hostage situation story out of Silver Spring, Maryland. John Hendricks is the founder of the Discovery Channel and he spent time in Huntsville. Hendricks is the founder of Discovery Communications. He's also a graduate of Butler High School and the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He also taught at UAHuntsville.
